The Eliza Pollard 1844 sampler is a historical reproduction from Historic Handworkes®. Eliza Pollard was born in 1835 in Nottinghamshire England. The Radford National School was built in April of 1841 for the accomodation of 300 school children, and Eliza would have been present to witness the school's completion. During her early education, the National School had two co-superintendants by the name of Elizabeth & George Manley.
Stitched on 32 count Lambswool from Wichelt Imports, the sampler was stitched in Au Ver A Soie stranded silk.
Stitch count is 133W X 142H. Eliza Pollard is executed in cross stitch, back stitch, and tent stitch for the year 1844. The orginal sampler is in the collection of Historic Handworkes®.
